SILVER CARE

We research your parents’ care
and organize it end to end.

So guardians do not have to search, compare, and call around themselves, we are developing a service model that organizes a parent’s care, hospital, and daily-life issues into a report with clear options and next actions.

Who pays

We assume the payer is the adult child or guardian aged 40–60, not the parent.

Business hypothesis

What they receive

A report they can act on, with clear next steps (service design).

Business hypothesis

What is different

Not facility search or caregiver matching, but a model designed to organize it on the guardian’s behalf.

Business hypothesis

01 · CORE PROPOSAL

Business hypothesis

Our core customer is the guardian who pays,
not the parent.

Once a guardian hands over a parent’s care, hospital, and daily-life issue, the planned approach is to organize the situation, compare options, and return a report and next actions they can actually move on. In one sentence: a service model in which the guardian pays to have a parent’s care problem organized, currently under business review.

01

Without searching yourself

We gather scattered rules and institution information and explain them in plain language.

02

Without comparing yourself

We place options side by side by region, cost, speed, and the parent’s preferences, with pros and cons.

03

Even if you do not know where to start

Urgency, next actions, and questions to ask institutions are in one document so you can move right away.

Terms used on this page Open an item for a plain-language explanation.
Concierge (support that researches and organizes for you)
A way of supporting guardians by checking the needed information, comparing options, and organizing the next actions.
B2C (guardians or families pay directly)
Transactions in which the guardian or family pays directly.
B2B (working with institutions or companies)
Transactions in which a service is provided in cooperation with institutions or companies.
Operational gap (what guardians handle themselves)
The work that falls outside the formal services of hospitals and care institutions and is left for guardians to find and handle.
Conversion (reading turns into action)
The shift from merely reading material to real actions such as inquiring, consulting, or paying.

02 · GUARDIAN PROBLEM

Business hypothesis

The guardian’s difficulty is not a lack of information,
but the burden of handling it.

There is already plenty of information. What makes it hard is that the situation is complex, the guardian’s time is short, and it is impossible to tell whether anything was actually handled.

Lack of time

Between work and family, there is no weekday time left to research a parent’s care.

Hard to interpret

Grades, benefits, co-payments, and service types are tangled together, so it is hard to know what applies to your parent.

Burden of comparing institutions

Calling each institution to compare cost, waiting time, and paperwork on the same basis is tedious and repetitive.

No visible outcome

Who was asked what, and what to do next, is never recorded.

Long-term care recipients (2024)

Annual benefit cost in 2024 was KRW 16.18 trillion.

The work of choosing and comparing home services falls on guardians.

About KRW 1.5M / month

Average monthly cost per service user

The user’s own share averages about KRW 130,000 (about 8.7%).

Based on the National Health Insurance Service ‘2024 Long-Term Care Insurance Statistical Yearbook’ and the 2025 Statistics on the Aged. Details are on the Market & Model page.

We have not found an official figure for guardians’ caregiving time and burden. If each of the 927,866 home-living recipients has a family caregiver, the target is at least about 930,000 households (the number of guardians is an assumption, not a confirmed figure).

03 · CARE REPORTS

Business hypothesis

What guardians pay for is not ‘information’
but ‘a result they can decide on’.

Not information you could find by searching, but material organized for your parent’s situation, with the next actions. We are reviewing three forms of result; scope and fees will be set during business review.

01

Situation Report

1–2 page PDF · when you do not know where to start

  • Current situation and urgency
  • Options and next actions
  • Five questions to ask when calling institutions

02

Option Comparison Report

3–5 page PDF · when the family must compare and decide together

  • Up to three care alternatives

04 · WHY IT FITS

Business hypothesis

What we take from Japan’s silver industry
is structure, not a line of business.

Looking at seven Japanese businesses, a common structure appears despite different industries. We apply only that structure to a Korean guardian-centered business, and do not copy Japan’s methods as they are.

Turning complex information into advice

Hard topics such as facility search or end-of-life preparation were turned into services people can search and consult.

Connecting daily-life services

Visiting, accompaniment, and organizing services families used to find themselves are linked to where they are needed.

Operations that ease family anxiety

Showing what was handled and what comes next reassures families who live far away.

Japan’s vacant-house reuse businesses assume real-estate and facility investment, so we exclude them from the Korean model. Baskhanbio Pharma’s silver care owns no facilities or real estate.

The open space for ‘guardian operations’ between existing services

Korea already has facility search, caregiver matching, and home-care providers. But taking in a guardian’s problem, interpreting and comparing it, and leaving a record of the result is relatively unfilled.

Existing serviceWhat it does wellLimit from the guardian’s side
Facility searchGathers and shows facility information. You still decide which choice fits your parent.
Caregiver matchingConnects caregiving staff. It does not decide whether care is needed or what to do first.
Home-care providerDelivers the service itself.Comparing other options or organizing a whole-family decision is out of scope.
Baskhanbio Silver CareUnder review: take the guardian’s question, interpret and compare, and leave the result on record. As a principle we do not provide or run services or facilities. Choices and contracts remain with the guardian.

06 · AFTER USE

Business hypothesis

Even after the report,
a follow-through to the result.

The service is designed not to end when the report is sent. It includes steps to check whether the guardian actually acted, how the issue was handled, and whether help is needed again.

The four-step flow

01

Intake

Who pays: the adult child or guardian, not the parent. When: an event such as discharge, a fall, or a grade application that must be settled this week. The question is narrowed to one.

02

Judgment and report

The PDF holds the request summary, the parent’s situation, urgency, unconfirmed information, options, next actions, phone questions, and limits. Rules are explained with sources and dates.

03

Choose and act

Ask the hospital, check the grade, contact two institutions, and share with family. Who was asked, response, availability, and next step go into the contact log.

04

Confirm and re-request

Inquiries made, consultation dates, availability, and expected cost are organized and returned. If the parent’s condition or the cost and terms change, you can request again.

07 · SERVICE PRINCIPLES

Legal & operations review needed

We are reviewing a start with intake and connection,
not direct staffing.

Because health, money, and personal data are all involved, we set the scope of responsibility first and operate within it.

Business approaches we avoid

  • —Facility search (collecting facilities and earning referral fees)
  • —Running care institutions directly
  • —Caregiver matching
  • —A standalone senior-community model

How we begin

Planned order: intake → classification → connection → result report. For facility consultations we plan only to connect, and we do not broker or match before legal and licensing review; choices and contracts are made directly by the guardian and the institution.

Start by organizing your parent’s care problem.

The service model is under development; inquiries and partnership proposals help us shape its direction.
